Sengenia co-founder, Prof Kenneth Grattan OBE, gave a presentation at the EPSRC funded ROSEHIPS (Revolutionising Operational Safety and Economy for High-value Infrastructure using Population-based SHM) project Biannual Meeting at QUB.
Prof Grattan explored the fibre sensing technologies on offer from Sengenia and Luna, as well as providing a number of SHM case studies where the techniques have proved invaluable.
Sengenia are a partner on the ROSEHIPS project and we look forward to further collaborative opportunities as a result.

Sengenia (in partnership with colleagues at Luna) were delighted to be able to support the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with their recent composites project that has led to an informative press release.
The full press release can be found here. The use of the powerful distributed sensing ODiSI interrogator has proven to be a tremendous boost for the work and future research opportunities. We look forward to strengthening and deepening the link established with AMRC and their related client companies.

Following our previous announcement of her shortlisting, we are delighted to be able to confirm that Prof. Tong Sun OBE (Sengenia co-founder & New Products Manager) has won the 'Outstanding Research Supervisor of the Year' category at the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards 2019.

Sengenia are delighted to be able to announce that we have been awarded one of the first certificates under the 'Innovation Accreditation Programme' that is being delivered on behalf of the Department for the Economy by Invest NI and Orryx in partnership with Innovation360.

Prof Ken Grattan OBE receives China’s highest award for “foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to the country's economic and social progress".

We were delighted to learn of this most prestigious award and continue to be extremely proud of Kenneth’s career to date, that we know first-hand has been of a globally leading nature. His impact on the scientific community in the UK was only recently further acknowledged through the awarding of his OBE and to now receive this honour is yet further validation of his hard work, expertise and dedication to the furthering of scientific excellence on a global basis.
